These birds fly in groups until they reach their destination. Their flight shape is a "V" since in this way the resistance to the wind is less and they must make less effort to go further.
When one of them leaves his place in the formation he immediately returns to the group because he cannot fly alone. When the one in front gets tired, he goes to the last place and the second takes his place.
